The exclusive package of Ladakh Monastery Trek takes you on a splendid voyage of 18 days, which includes a startling journey from Delhi-Leh-Alichi-Lamayuru-Chilling Trek-Delhi-Agra. A wholesome adventure package designed especially, to give you a lifetime thrilling experience.

Day 1 Delhi
At your arrival to the capital, after the boarding and lodging process you shall be guided to visit the last city of pre-independent India, then known as the ‘Lutyen’s city’ built by the British architect Edwin Lutyen in 1911. The main visiting attractions will include the Rashtrapati Bhavan, Birla Mandir (Lakshminarayan Temple), and India Gate that was originally known as “All India War Memorial” built in honor of the Indian soldiers who lost their life fighting wars. Also visit an astounding piece of architecture from the Mughal era – The Humayun Tomb, marked as the UNESCO world heritage site and the 1st garden tomb of Indian subcontinent. This Tomb was commissioned on the orders of Humayun’s wife Hamida begum in 1562.

Days 2-5 Leh
Start an all-new exciting journey with your arrival from Delhi to Leh

An important trading center, Leh is an explicit market for exquisite items across boundaries of Ladakh. Carpets, rugs and pashmina shawls from Kashmir, Persian motif, jewellery from Tibet made of semi precious stone. Thangka paintings, prayer wheels, music bowls are other curios you can take back as a souvenirs.

Glimpses of ruins of ancient castles are worth capturing in your cameras. A simple yet pleasing and comfortable stay at a local hotel will keep you geared-up for your trek to Ladakh Palace and climb many stairs to Shanti Stupa.

Further days to come we shall visit the traditional Ladakhi home and to add thought for food relish the barley beer- chang, and stable food tsampa with the famous butter tea. A stopover at two Gompas (monasteries) Spituk and Phyang will allow you to experience the calmness and spirituality among the monks and discover your inner self.

Day 6 Alchi
The sixth day we shall have a jeep safari along the Indus River bypassing some beautiful villages like Nimu and Saspol. Crossing the grand mountain ranges like the Stok and Ladakh ranges we shall reach Alchi. The wonderful village of Alchi is famous for the existence of one of the oldest monasteries of Ladakh with antique wall paintings dated back to 1st century.

Day 7 Lamayuru
We shall begin our adventurous trekking journey from khalsi hiking a steep climb involving nearly 30 switchbacks in the last 25 km to Lamayuru where we set up a camp with professional assistance. In 16 the Lamayuru Gompa was declared a holy site- a symbol of freedom from all sins.

Days 8-12 Lamayuru to Chilling Trek
As we start our adventure, we make sure of proper provisions for 3 meals a day and warm water for swabbing, one can surely expect a raw trekking experience that is awaited after your bed tea is served in your tent. After our climb to Lamayuru we go down to the little valley of Prinkitla pass (3750m) and further descend to a narrow gorge to the village of Shilla. Have a river-crossing excursion to reach Wanla and pay visit to monasteries belonging to the Red sect.

Further we continue our trekking along the Yapola River to the village of Phenjilla and ascend to a small valley before reaching our camp at Hinju. We go up the main valley making steep ascent to Konzkele Pass from Hinju to have glimpse for the fantastic view. While passing along the river to our camp at Sumdo we will come across blacked up caves used for meditation by Buddhist oracles and then ascend to Dundunchenla Pass (4800 m) and camp at the base (4400 m).

As we trek down through the valley and reach the village of Chilling famous for its metal work, making ladles, and teapot you will have a lifetime rare trekking experience.

Days 13 & 14 Leh
After the return trip back to Leh form Chilling in a jeep, witness an exotic evening with a sheer display of Ladakhi traditional dress and dance at a cultural show organized especially for you. The following day is free for individual activities. Some people may choose to go for an optional rafting trip, others may want to visit the Tibetan Refugee village in Choglamsor, and some may just want to explore the bazaar for interesting trinkets.

Days 15 & 16 Agra
We shall return to Delhi by early morning flight and board a deluxe coach to continue our journey to the Mughal splendor of Agra. Agra is; of course, domicile to the unforgettable world famous, heritage site Taj Mahal and the majestic Agra Fort.

Day 17 Delhi
As we drive back to Delhi visiting Govardhan en-route. This site is situated near Matura the birthplace of Lord Krishna, its significance as a legend claims that Lord Krishna lifted the Guardian Par vat (hill) on the tip of his finger to shelter the inhabitants of Bra from a deluge. The entire hill is circumambulator by thousands of pilgrims every year. It's a fascinating place to visit. Back in Delhi we visit the Old city, where a bicycle rickshaw ride through the narrow laneways will take us to the Jama Masjid – the largest mosque in India.

Day 18 Delhi
Our tour finishes with breakfast and transfer to the airport for your departure.
